The same snake was my first hot also. An intergrade N. and S. Copperhead. I still have it and it's a great, laid back snake. Awesome one to learn on.
I couldnt help but notice that your snake seems a little on the thin side. I'd do what I could to get a nice steady stream of food into it's belly and put some meat on it. The spine shouldn't really be showing as much as it looks like it is in the picture.
