WC roaches

Hi all
i was wonering around my neighborhoos at night i see little roaches running around could i catch these and feed these to my jacksons chameleon i weill be getting in a few weeks i was mabye thinking no because i dont know what roacheseat in the wild like garbage or something? i dont know so please help me out

P.S. i know about not using bugs in pesticides areas and all the roaches i see dont live in people yards but in the grass close to house which isn't pesticided

You could catch them and purge them. Put them in a sweater tub with a 2" band of vaseline around the top edge to keep them from escaping. Feed them rich greens like endive, dandies etc along with dog kibble. After several days if they haven't died and have been eating well I would consider them safe to feed. If you have die off dump them all and buy roaches to raise. Jacksons love silkworms too and they are pretty easy to raise.
