Something I have found to work well with a lay box is putting a cover on it. Dragons like to burrow. I have had them dig for over a week and when I cover their tub it creates more of a tunnel for them and seems to make them more comfortable and they lay. I use a brown tote tray with a piece of plywood on top of it about 3/4 of the way. They usually dig right under the lid. Many times if they aren't comfortable they will hold the eggs longer than needed.
