If I see my beardie take a mouthful of sand, is there anything i can do right then to keep him/her from swallowing it, or what should i do?

With all the sand questions and worry, why not save yourself alot of effort and just get shelf liner or plastic table cloth. No chance of accidental injestion, much much easier to clean, no 50 Pound bags to lug about, no sand scattered alll over the place, or the hassel of changing it every month or so. Sure sand is cheaper, but in the long run, I find the initial extra cost for shelf liner or plastic tablecloth, is well worth it.
ok. i appreciate your input, but yes shelf liner and table cloth may work better for u, but sand will work better for me. I am trying to make my beardie new cage as much like his natural environment as possible. The sand will look better, and i am pretty sure my beardie will like it better. Now if i see that he does ingest too much sand, sure i will go to shelf liner.
DON'T PUT HIM ON SAND then you dont need to worry about it. shelf liner is better and easy to clear and disinfect ans safe for your beardies
