Unexpected, advice any1?

m1k3_88 Jul 01, 2004 11:41 AM

1 of my females lost her orange colouring about a week and a half ago. I noticed her getting a little fatter right before her hind legs the otherday, and when i went to feed them this morning she is very brightly covered in orange and shees to have gotten even fatter. I wasnt expecting babies until next season, but could any1 give me some advice for incubation? like what temps? and how long until she should lay the eggs? Thanks, Mike.

well she will lay the eggs about three weeks from when she turned orange, however the orange spots do not necessarily mean that she has fertile eggs, just eggs. the eggs will take about 40-45 days after laying to hatch. they need to be kept in temperatures in the 80s. lower temps make females and higher temps make males...or vice versa, i always get it confused. there are many many many posts below of people asking for egg advice. i am sure if you read through some of them you can find the answer to any question. ihope this helped
