Amounts of food...

Hey guys, I don't want to sound like I'm being extremely picky, but could you guys take a picture of your uro's food bowls. Fluffy is EXTREMELY picky, and hardly eats anything. He seems pretty healthy (except for the hookworms he has, phew good thing i work at a vet clinic! be better in 1 more week) but, like i said he doesn't eat very much. Maybe I'm just use to my 4 foot (lost her tail), 9 year old iggy and a beardie, i dont know, but that'd really help!! thanks a LOT guys....

They can be tough! even w/o the hookworm.
Just have to keep trying new food all the time. Undoubtedly they will pick out the particular favorites-I hide mine at the bottom and let them dig for them. I could take a picture of my uro's food bowls but I could describe it better.
1 large dinner plate.(surprised they do not eat that)
Mixed greens- turnip, romaine, dandelion, baby greens....
sprouted lentiles and beans
some radicchio,
occasional carrots, peas and corn veg's(once a month)
mealworms 2x month
flowers ( mostly nasturtiums) sometimes a large plate themselves...
and always in there enclosure the ground dry 16 bean soup mix with some finch bird food pellets and a touch of miner all.
They rarely leave much......
The greens every other day, sometimes every day!
Good luck,
Ed

Hey,
I just read youre post and I was curious why you said
"occasional carrots, peas and corn veg's(once a month)"
do you only feed those once a month cause you want to, or do you have a reason to believe theyre bad???

Hi-
I think that the overall diet should be made up of leafy greens, I do not have any real reservations regarding carrots, corn and peas. I know there are phosphorus to calcium ratios that are not beneficial in peas, but if you supplement that is not a real concern.
I believe the greens are just more beneficial for the animals.
Variety(according to the lists of potential food sources) is the key!
The onther thing I forgot to add is wheat berry bread-Mine love it!
