Cillie, to answer your question below...

I just saw your post way far down, about your parents thinking a vet visit is a "waste" of money.

Have you tried offering to work it off? Like if they take her to the vet now, you will earn it in chores? Would they respond to that?

If your dragon has something wrong then not taking her to the vet is not only punishing her, it's punishing you! Why any parent would make their child watch a beloved pet get sick and not do anything about it is beyond me. It breaks my heart for you.

If the chore thing doesn't work you can try a fund raiser, try anything to make some money on your own so they don't have to "waste" their precious dollars on your pet.

Good luck.

well, i dont think that chore thing will work, i can't imagine working of several hundred dollars!!!!! maybe if they are really reluctant, i can ask them to take her to the vet for my b-day.

Well the initial visit wouldn't be several hundred dollars. It would be enough to get her in and checked out though, find out if it's serious, and maybe talk to the vet about talking to your parents, like we mentioned.

And you can work off several hundred dollars if you need to. It would take a long time but it would be worth it. Maybe just offering would show your parents how much you really, really want to make sure Squealgie is healthy, and they'll admire your dedication, hopefully. It's worth a shot.

The birthday thing is good too.

she grew a few millemeters this week. she loves collard greens and likes her weat bran. she seems ok, petco is bad, it had a dead newt in a cage. and i am worried Coo-Coo will have all kinds of parasites.

I went to a Petco once where there was a dead lizard crammed between the water dish and the glass. I informed the "reptile specialist" and left. Came back the next week, it was STILL THERE.

I hate Petco.
