Lizard Very Sluggish!

toni3846 Jul 01, 2004 06:01 PM

I was given a Sudan Plated Lizard (?) a few days ago. It seems to sleep all the time. Seems to be very sluggish. She has eaten some earthworms and mealworms but will not eat fruits or veggies. Is there anything special that I should be doing? She does has a basking light to get warm under. Thanks for any info. This is my first lizard ever.

Being your first lizard, you may get worried, but don't. As long as you followed a few different care sheets, you'll be fine. Try feeding it different types of food, I know this got my Sudan moving. Try geckos, crickets, meal worms, and such. Some of these will make the lizard chase them. Mine was especially fond of geckos.
