I was wondering if ne 1 here knows what materials are best for a cage for GTPs, what heating and lighting arrangements are needed and ne thing else on these snakes as I am thinking of buying one.

You can build a GTP cage out of anything you like but i find that MDF makes for a good cage material if you are going at it by yourself, they are heavy though.I've built a couple but would much rather have plastic ones.
But the way to definately go is plastic cages, there are many new people making plastic cages that are great.
heres a look at one of mine out of MDF it was made in design similar to those of one Greg Maxwell.
