pine bark as bedding

has anyone ever tried this? how is it? bad experiences?

I've never used pine bark (can't get it in the land of OZ) but I have used other types of bark. I stoped using it because it was just too hard to keep clean.

goodday mate! the pine bark that i bought is from australia(that's what it said on the packaging..)

Hello again,
Sorry, I must not have made myself clear. Yes we grow pine (export some of it too ) and yes we can buy pine domestically. However, I have never seen it sold in a reptile store. Most places sell red gum chips. If you are interested there is a market overview of Australia’s softwood (pine) plantations at the link below. Sorry, it’s a bit dated but it might explain why your pine was grown in Australia.

I know Cedar is toxic but I didn't know that pine was. Obviously treated pine would be bad. I have no idea if pine is toxic or not. It dosen't usually get used in Australia.
