This is a bullsnake found on a recent field trip to the Pine Ridge. It wasn't nearly as happy to see us as we were to see it

Hey Chad,
Not much new, just chasing snakes and doing jui jitsu. What's up with you? I don't know about the fall field trip but I have hopes of making it to Manhatten this year. Dan got a real job though so it's hard to tell what will go on.
Speaking of the bullie in the pic, is it just me or does that bull have a very P.m affinis look to it. I'm told that most of the animals from the area it was found in are even more red with less black.

Just what I was thinking concerning the affinis. It is strange because one out of about every ten pits I see here in Kansas have that grainy white look to them. Well, hopefully Dan's new and real job wont prevent us from getting together in Nebraska next year (?). Tell him I said hi...chad
