some bleach, warm/hot water and some antibacterial soap that kills germs. Thats all I use when I disenfect all my plastic boxes in my racks. You dont have to spend $$$ on some fancy cleaning stuff. Keep it simple and easy and inexpensive.

First wash with dishwasher soap, make sure you rinse thoroughly, and then use the bleach to disinfect. 10-15 minutes to disinfect, 30-45 minutes to sterilize. Be careful about not mixing any of the dishwasher soap with the bleach, because the soap contains ammonia which should never be mixed with chlorine bleach.

Another option is to boil the furniture.

There's also a product called Nolvasan, which I like to use for disinfecting the tank because it doesn't have strong fumes.
