Hogg labor problem!

ghackney Jul 02, 2004 12:05 PM

I will try to be quick and to the point. My 1st time breeding this girl(01 hogg). She def. about 8 days ago. Came in night before last to feed and she was going crazy! She was hissing and sticking the glass. Looked in the cage and saw a slug. WOW, she was dropping her babies! No, next morning still one slug. Took her out soaked her in warm water, cleaned the cage. As of today she is back calm and acting like she did before. No sign of distress. Still looks thick in the posterior (around cloaca). Could she still have babies? What should I do next? Thought of x-raying her? Thanks Greg

Thanks. I talked to him (Ed) while the problem was going on. I hoped she would do better. One slug seems alittle wierd! Bet she has more of something? Going to work more on her when I get home. Taking her to the vet. in the morning. Might x-ray her tonight too... Thanks again, Greg
