A question for the Boa Forum...

wetceal Jul 02, 2004 05:41 PM

I was just wondering how common it is for Colombian Boas to have white tipped tongues? In particular...Hypo Boas?

Have any of you ever noticed this? Anyone produce any babies or owned any boas that have white tipped tongues?

Thanks for any input...

The father to my aberrant litter has a white tipped tongue, as do a number of his offspring from both my litter and the litter he sired for my best friend in 2002. A couple of my other boas also have the white tipped tongues. Don't know if it's a link to anything genetic or if it is its own little anomoly.

I noticed this as well with a normal columbian noenate but it has changed to black now. I think they shed the tips of their tongues like skin but I am not sure if the color is age related or just genetic.
