04 Albino red sided garter pic

scott_felzer Jul 02, 2004 08:29 PM

This is the second albino to be produced from this bloodline, the first was back in 98 and had passed away a couple of years ago. I have bred several possible het female to possible het males in the past 3 years without producing an albino but this year, we finally got lucky. She produced 27 babies, 1 albino and the rest being 66% possible hets.

Scott, congrats buddy! I know those poss hets have been kickin your ass for years now, even with a damn 1/27 breeding, lol! I really hope you kept good records of the male in question so he can be used more in the future.Anyways, how soon are the double hets going to be making their mark?? Let me know,Jeff

Jeff,

Got lucky, this female was the last gravid female in the group of possible hets and she was a couple of weeks overdue when she had her brood. I rotated the males on the females so I don't know who the father is. Fortunately the albino is a male. At this point I'm not sure when the double hets will be available.
