I'm attempting a breeding project with this wc melanistic adult female atrox. I bred her with an albino atrox. Think this trait is genetic? She's alot "blacker" than she appears in the photo. There's too much flash.

Here in New Mexico, there are actually populations of melanistic atrox that live on the lava rock beds in the middle of the state...is that by any chance where you might have caught that beauty?

It was actually given to a friend of mine. The only thing i know about it is that she's wild caught. I'm just lucky to have the opportunity to breed her.

You should breed that to a patternless atrox and see what you get!
