a while back i brought in my blackthroat Scotty who at the time was only around 15" long. he just sat in one of my cargo pockets in my pants. at one point he peeked his head out and one of the employees told me i had to leave the store immediately....

When I go to this particular Home Depot I am almost always welcome with open arms. Most of the managers know "the reptile guy with all the crazy animals". there is even someone working there who used to work at our zoo with torts so she always says hi to me. some of the cashiers know the lizards by name. At another home depot I brought my Doberman in with me several times and no one ever said anything even though they now have a no pets sign on the front door. well the last time I went, while I was on the way out, one of the security guards told me I could not bring the dog inside unless she was in the shopping cart. Go figure that one out. At another Home epot I was met by a manager at the door when I had a 6' Boa and was told he could not come in.

Lizards are generally less hassled than snakes but it all depends on the store employees. Some are afraid of the animal, others are understandably afraid of being sued!

animals are easier to understand than people.

tegus can be. He really looks pleased with himself in the first picture. That second picture looks like he's saying...Hey Babe. You want a ride in my race car???
