Well, it's official! Little Quinn went to the vet today and she is indeed gravid! We are all very excited over here, this will be our first clutch and we are doing everything we can to make her happy and comfortable. so far we have separated her from the other two in her own cage, she has a stone hiding "cave" that we made right under the basking spot, and i just made a laying box out of a tupperware container (deer fern farms style) with plenty of fresh moist dirt inside, outside the lay box is a mixture of sand and dirt. i'm feeding her turnip and mustard greens with a few veggies thrown in, some seeds and such. any suggestions for something i'm leaving out?? Since we have no idea when she and Ricky did the deed, we don't really know when she will be laying. They stop eating about a week before, yes? Well she's still eating so hopefully the incubator we just ordered will be here in time. Sorry, I know I'm babbling, we are just so excited!! Any advice you experienced breeders have to keep a gravid Mali happy would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!!!
