I posted it down the page where it was talked about, but I realized it was so far down people probably didnt see it. ANyway, here it is again. This was taken in black and white film just after being confiscated.

Why do they call it hypo? Seems to have plenty of black.

Hpomelanistic, refers to a reduction in the dark-black pigments, not the total absence of it.

ANyway the color pattern is somewhat reversed and where there would normally be a black band with their base color (pink, orange)showing through as circle type pattern, is replaced with a white band.

Well this is the one that has been talked about on this forum as the hypo from arizona. There is nothing normal about it and there is a huge reduction in black. Whatever it is, not normal and since people have been talking about it and noone has posted a picture, I thought I would share.

Kevin Hanley took some color slides of this animal. I saw the slides about 4-5 years ago before Kevin left Arizona. The gila was more light brown with very little black. Again I was looking at color slides. Definitely not normal!! Maybe if someone contacted Kevin Hanley (works for Kingsnake.com btw) and requested that he post pics - he might. And also the story and mysterious disappearance of THAT animal LOL

The animal DID EXIST.
