Is it ok for anoles to eat grasshoppers/locusts?

c.huang Jul 03, 2004 04:33 PM

There are a lot of green and brown grasshoppers around during the day time now that it's summer here so i was wondering if they might make a nice variety to my brown anole's diet. He's a pretty good sized male, so i don't think food size is a problem. Also i figured anole's in their natural habitats would readily eat many types of insects, and grasshoppers are somewhat similar to crickets so.....yeah. just wanted to ask around to make sure and get some opinions.

thanks,

C h r i s.
