Roaches!!!

zooguy Jul 03, 2004 07:45 PM

We've recently noticed roaches in our house. We need an exterminator, but I don't want to harm my animals by using chemicals. I have a white's tree frog and a corn snake. Does anyone know what I should do to get rid of the roaches without harming my little guys? So far, we've caught 3 roaches and seen 2 more. I'm assuming there are more than just these 5 roaches!!!

Thank you so much!

I have cats and on ocassion I've had to use a flea bomb in the house. I've always just removed the snakes for the day and done it. I'd air the house out once I got home from work for about an hour or so, then put the cages back where they belonged. Depending on the type of treatment and exterminator decides to use, you may or may not have to remove the animals. Often the sprays that are applied around cabinets and such where roaches are found can be safely used around pets. Worst case scenario, call a couple of different exterminating companies and see what they say on the matter. I'd be willing to bet that they've heard the question before. Or you could just err on the side of caution and remove your pets for the day.
