BCC Litters????

triniian Jul 03, 2004 09:01 PM

From my knowledge there has only been one BCC litter posted in this forum this year. I see countless morphs, and a couple litters of regs.

Are BCC not that common or a recently growing trend? So much so that most bought and sold are WC/LTC/Farmed imports?

I would love to see some pics of BCCs... for they are but nature's finest, most abundant Boa miracles....

BCC are usually born from Aug-Oct
I actually have 3 gravid females that are due between 8/9 and 9/3.

Bcc litters usually run later in the season than the Bci do. I had one early and I am probably the one litter that you have mentioned. I also have a Peruvian that is 107 POS so that will probably be second Bcc litter to hit the forum. Any other successful births within my collection are not expected until late August and September.

As for "the trend", Bcc normally cannot be pushed to breed at 3 years of age like the Bci. There is also far less availability of true captive bred Bcc as opposed to Bci so that translates into way more Bci keepers and breeders. The competition in the morph market also seems to create pressure to breed as quickly as possible to cash in before market saturation. I have much more Bcc than morph stuff but I do have both. Personally I can tell you that I am much more upset that my hypo to hypo pairing did not take than some of my Bcc. I hope my take on this has helped you a little bit.
