hello i have a question... i have had a female corn snake for a lil over a year now and she is a little over a foot long. my girlfriend has just ordered a corn snake, and i want to keep the 2 snakes togather... but the snake she has just ordered isnt born yet.. he will hatch in the middle of this month.. since her snake will be just a young male, and mine an older female, will there be any problems? and what can i do to make sure there arent any problems? thanks in advance!

If you want to avoid problems dont house them together.I could go on forever on this subject but I wont.Stress would be bad for the newcomer, possibly both.

The only way to be sure there will be no problems is to not house them together. Especially because of the age difference. The older snake may very well eat the smaller snake!

Think about it... your a new born and you are being placed with something much bigger then you are.
Babies can get very stressed. Your looking at a big problem keeping it with an older snake from the get go.

You should never house Corns together that are such different sizes. The risk of the older one viewing the baby as lunch is too great.

Also, a tank that's a suitable size for the older one would be too big for a hatchling, which might be stressed by the "wide open spaces".

Looks like the newbie needs to arrive with its own accommodation. Good luck!
