White headed tiger?

BrianSmith May 14, 2003 06:56 AM

This is one of the female tigers I got from Bob Clark last year. She is only about 8 feet and 10 months old and her colors are just begining to lighten. Her head becomes a lighter whitish shade every time she sheds. I hope I can develop this into a white headed tiger. If I accomplish this all credit goes to Bob for producing this first incredible snake.

Nice tiger. How many snakes total do you have.

Thanks, this picture really does not do her justice. It's really hard to capture the white (which I really didn't) without getting a bright washout on her head. I just really need to go get myself a better camera. The one I have was real advanced a couple years ago, but is as obsolete as the model-T now, lol. I haven't actually counted my snakes in a while, but last count was over 130 snakes (not counting babies). Ask me next year this time and it will likely be over 300 or 400. And the next year much more. (I just recently got back into breeding reptiles and this is merely the beginning. Building stock can take a little time)

Hey, nice snake, I think that is a very worth-wile project to go after. We have been working with a silver/white headed project here at Prehistoric. This is one of our female 100% het. albino tigers that developed a very silver head. She is the mother of the first albino tigers. Her mother was also from Bob Clark. One of her albino tiger offspring has a very white, that is getting better and better with age. With what we have seen in our collection, You should defiantly peruse a breeding project with your beautiful tiger female!

Good luck!

Yes, this one looks a LOT like mine undoubtedly will with a little more size and age. I would bet my bottom dollar that they are closely related. Good luck on your projects too. And post some pictures of that big white phase albino if you get the chance. She's a stunning animal.
