Just thought I'd post a pic of my youngest SIGB....

This is one of the trio I got back in February (she was born in January). I lost the other female (identical to this one) to an RI - which she had when I purchased her, unbeknownst to me. However this little girl has done very well. The male is also thriving (will try to get some pictures of him in the near future).

Here's the male I purchased as part of the trio, considerably larger and older than the female (at least a good two years old if not more).

I hope to put him with my original pair later this year to hopefully stimulate breeding activity with my older male.

This is the male:

And this is the female:

If they produce babies, I will be one happy camper.

Those are some really nice Candoia! Keep us informed if you have sucess breeding them. I really need to get a camera so I can post pics of mine here and at the yahoo group. None of my males are old enough so it looks like next year for me.

Thanks! The first male pictured (the one I got earlier this year) isn't really old enough to breed, but I'm hoping just the fact that he's male will incite my other one to step up to the plate, so to speak. The female is somewhere around 24-30 inches and pretty stout (she looks a bit thicker than she should in this pic because there are 2 mice in her belly). She's also at least 4 years old, but probably more (wc import I purchased in 2002). I'm really hoping they breed for me because I would love to see what she throws in a litter since she's such a nice rust-red color and he has that nice chocolate brown with distinct markings and both look calico on their bellies - him in brown & cream and her in red & white. I'll put them together then hope for the best.

As for the camera, the one I'm using is a Canon PowerShot A70. It's a 3 megapixel, so it's enough to make decent prints if I want to but not so much that I'll never use all the capabilities. It's pretty much designed for the beginning digital user and is VERY easy to use - just point and shoot. It also takes some very nice macro shots of these tiny guys. This is my Santa Isabel in her plastic Critter Keeper cage - she's about ten inches long but looks like a monster in this pic.
