For native species, start with the Indiana Fish & Wildlife page at http://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/endangered/regs.htm

The Hoosier Herp Society website has a page where you could leave your question or search for similar messages.

insurance policies these days with any request of this nature anymore ? Am I right ? While one needs to maybe do this as an annonymous inquiry, While it may be legal in township, city, state, we have been finding out that there is that problem with home owners insurance, ANY resident asociation, etc. I was shocked , as Kevin knows, that my home owners policy company was considering banning me from home owners insurance just recently for the keeping of hots. I have been with them for over 5 years and have ALL of my autos and house insurance with them. But this wasn't just venomous. It was other herps as well. AND this is a MAJOR insurance company. But my agent informed me that they were not pursueing reptiles at this time even though he got a notice that they may be one of these days. They WERE pursueing some dog breeds though. There was another company , another MAJOR company , that wouldn't even talk to me on insuring because I had reptiles ( didn't even tell them what kind of reptiles because it didn't go any farther ).
