sick toad or not?

jupiter6921 Jul 04, 2004 03:19 PM

hey guys

so i've got this toad and he lives in a terrarium that my former roommate setup.

i'm no toad expert, but when my roommate and i moved apart, he begged me to keep the toad.

well, i've had it a week and it's got these spots on it... like sores... there's one right on his mouth.... these can't be normal.

what do i do?

jeremy.

The warts on the back are abnormally large, don't know what to make of those. The rostral problem looks to be infected. This will require a vet to diagnose and treat properly. In the meantime, switch it over to a papertowel substrate, you can use plastic cups cut in half for hide spots. Make sure you are giving it clean water, either bottled or dechlorinated water. The important thing is to keep the toad clean until treatment can begin.
