I use wood nuggets (the large pieces, not the shredded or chipped stuff) that I've baked to get rid of any bugs. It means that I have to change the chips every few months as they get soiled and that I need to keep a close watch for mold, as the tank stays pretty humid. Newspaper works really well and avoids all of those problems, but it obviously doesn't look quite as nice. But since I only have the one enclosure (for now at least), I don't mind taking the time to make it look nice.

As for decorations - fake plants, lots of solid branches to climb around on and cork rounds to hide in are all good ideas, IMO.

I'm sorry, I haven't been around lately and don't recognize your name. Are you a new PTS owner, or just looking to redecorate for an old pet?
