About a week, give or take. You mainly just want to make sure he's acclimating to his new home and gets back on a regular feeding schedule, because he'll be stressed at first. When you think he's starting to get comfortable you can start handling him a little bit at a time. You'll be able to tell when he's stressed and when he's content. Beardies are pretty good at displaying their temperments.
