need help with website links to order seed & cactus

Lyn Jul 04, 2004 08:32 PM

When I was doing research prior to buying Sunshine, I came across two websites that I sadly did not save. One had Spineless cactus pads for sale, the other had a seed mix you could plant outside or inside in pots with a mix of good stuff to feed tortoises. I have searched but cannot relocate these sites. Does anyone have them saved? I want to start an indoor garden for Sunshine so she can have fresh greens throughout the year. Thanks in advance!

Kim at turtlecafe has **awesome** cuttlebone too!

I checked out both sites and went with Turtle Stuff. I ordered the Mediteranian Seed Mix, some Edible Cactus Pads, and a new Cuttlebone. She has a Cuttlebone from the Grocery store but doesn't touch it, maybe she'll like this new one better. The other site had excellent info on what wild plants I can offer her, so I saved that one too. It's the first site that actually listed Wild Carrot (Queen Anne's Lace). I have tons and didn't know if I could add it to her mix. I am going to make her an outdoor pen and plant it with the Mediteranian Mix. I'm not sure if one bag will be enough, might have to order a second one? I'm also going to plant some of it indoors in pots so she'll have it during the winter. I breed my own mealworms for my Geckos, and breed my own mice for my Snakes so that I know they are healthy, parasite free, and have been fed properly. Just makes sense to follow suite and grow my own Tort food too! Thanks for the links!
