Leos are nocturnal, they suppose to sleep during daytime and become active at night. I use a red light to view my leos during night-time; the amount of light is just enough for my camera to take pics as well.

do u use a light during the day and do u have the red light on through out the whole night or do u turn it off right when u go to bed.

I use 2 lights; one normal bulb for daytime and a red bulb for night time. I used to switch the light manually, but now I have both set on timers. The white bulb runs from 7:30am to 6:30pm, then the red bulb from 6:30pm to 1:00am. This will give them a sense of day and night; all my leos do come out from their hides within half an hour after the red lights are on.

how much does a timer cost and can two differnt light fixtures be hooked up to one timer.

I don't know if you can hook 2 lights to one same timer; but I am using 2 timers for the 2 bulbs.
