I have not seen a whole lot of dipsos lately. I am getting old and loosing my memory on just how much the females show any signs of pores. Usually they are easy to sex just by looking at the hemipenal bulges. Maybe Eve could compare it to her female which actually kind of looked like a male to me in her last posted pic.

told me WRONG, I asked you guys when I adopted her 2 years ago, everyone here said female. I never looked after that. LOL

Just like when Chewalla the chuck was younger, everyone said you have a girl.

Then, awhile later I had a boy ! Come on ya can't be THAT OLD hahahhaha !

I will get a pic of HERSHEYS underside !

I remember when I first saw Chewalla I thought he was a male and everyone said female so I went along with it. I remember before that sexing question came up I asked about the locale because at the time I thought the color was unusual for a male. Yes I did say Hershey was a female but you posted a pic not too long ago(which I cannot find now) where I thought I saw huge hemipenal bulges and I thought it might be a male but it could have been just the way the pic was taken.

Hey Eve,
a pic of Hersheys underside would be great. I've (sadly)never seen a female Desert IGs underside. But when I found homes for three of my four males I will try to get a real she.

I think we may have the same sex here. Thes guys told me 2 years ago, when I knew nothing about desert iggies, that I had a female.

Because I only had Hershey, and did not plan to breed, I never bothered to contiune to check.

But now that I look, I think I may have a male !

I thought I some some bulges. The cool thinks about desert igs in the wild is you can sex them without catching them. The male's hemipenal bulges are usually very prevalent and can be seen with binoculars. Tom

I have females for sale! HaHa just kidding do not keep any dipsos.

Eve Jul 09, 2004 08:06 PM

can't sex their lizards, hahahaha, Looks like we both have males.

I knew as soon as I turned Hershey over and checked everything out, she had matured into a HE ! LOL

Thats okay like I say Hershey is a pet, no breeding plans.

Tom, in your defense, when I first showed you Hershey I don't think he was veryt mature yet.

(But hey lets face it you guys, have to brush up on your sexing skills, LMAO )

I think all wonderful just the same !
