how long after a corn egg pipes before it come out of the egg,my first egg piped on saturday night it keeps poking its head out of the egg but hasent come out yet is this normal? thanks in advance.

No experience yet myself, but I've heard that they stay in their shells for a while before coming out totally. From Saturday to Monday seems like an awfully long time though. Don't try to get him to come out earlier than he is ready though, because he may still have his yolk sac attached. If so, he could snag it on something and eviscerate himself.

My advise...don't bother him and he will come out in his own good time.

(Not to scare you, but I've heard that (rarely) they do go back in their eggs and for some reason die without ever coming back out. But even if this is the case with your guy, if he was/is going to die in the egg, he would most likely die if you force him to come out anyway.)

The little guy will emerge when it is ready. Do not try to force it or hurry it along, it will be fine.

got home from work at about 2:15am this morning and hes out of the egg, this is my first time breeding so thanks for the replys. mom is a sunglow motley and dad in a normal sunglow, sorry for going on like that im just happy they r hacking now.
