New male blackthroat

Hey everybody I got a male blackthroat and I was just curious as to where I could get a female?Also at what temp do I keep him at and what substrate do you guys reccomend?This guy is dog tame and just a great lizard but Im not much on lizards but Im big on GTPs ETBs rosie boas and burms

Hi Richard, Im not sure where you can find a female but the classifieds on this site would be a good place to start or you could see if anyone here knows how to contact Rob Faust. As far as temps go they need a 80f to 85f degree ambient temp with a 75 to 79 degree cool side and a basking surface temp of 110f to 150f. And 3 feet of dirt that holds moisture and is burrowable would be an ideal substrate for this monitor species. They grow very large in ideal setups so you'll need to provide atleast a 8 to 10 foot long enclosure but im sure you already have this covered.
