Hi Mike,
Sorry, it's been a little while since I've come back to the forum and reading this post, I realized that I forgot to post the pics I promised to post, of the roping and screen shelving I mentioned in my last post. LOL
We did use the white wire shelving you mentioned and it does work great -- easy to clean, easy for the ig to get around. However, I noticed that our ig has a hard time figuring out how to go up and down them. Once he was on the floor, he kept trying to go right through the shelves, since he could see through them.
He did figure it out after a while, though.
Here is a pic of his cage:

You might want to consider this other design, though, because it's much cheaper and seemingly, much more comfortable for the ig. We used plastic-coated 1/2" hardware cloth (we had some lying around -- I would have prefered the 1" for an adult ig), cut it to size, then wrapped some roping around the rough edges to create a sort of "hammock"; we used the same rope to attach the hammock to the walls using hooks.
We had initially installed sterilized branches in the terrarium, but after observing our ig trying to get around in there, we realized that we needed to make changes, because he had a real hard time trying to grab the branches. It was like watching him try to climb a greased pole.
The fact that the basking area is made up of a hammock and a few branches seems to be very comfortable for the ig, because he has the best of both worlds -- branches to lounge on, and at the same time, plenty of surface and areas for his claws to grip when he wants to turn himself around. He really, really looks comfortable in there -- makes me want to move in there with him, sometimes!! LOL
Anyway, here's a pic of the cage:
