please help with my snapper eggs

How can I tell whether the embryos are developing?? I am incubating some eggs that got excavated by a coon near my house, and I think probably the eggs are no good, but I would like to know if it is working.

The best way to tell if the eggs are fertile or developing properly is to candle them. Take them into a dark room and place a pen light or small flash light on the egg, if the eggs are good, you will see veins and depending on how far along the development is, you will see the embryo (if they are early in development, you will not see the embryo so don't count them out if the embryo is not visible). Remember, DON'T ROTATE or TURN the egg! Doing so will cause the embryo to drawn. Best of luck with them! Christy
