Sorry for the stupid question but what exactaly are Pyros and Megabands?
Pyro is short for Pyromelana, which is the scientific name for the Sonoran Mountain Kingsnakes(lampropeltis pyromelana). When people use the term "pyro" they are usually referring to Arizona Mountain Kingsnake (l. pyromelana pyromelana) which is a sub-species of the Sonoran Mountain King.
Mega-band is a new one to me, but apparently refers to one of the many color/pattern phases of the California Kingsnake.
The main place I've seen "Mega-bands" referred to is in reference to hybrids.... While the jury (my opinion) on hybrids is still out deliberating.... I dislike the term personally... kind of reminds me of some 50's Captain Zonko's Health Tonic, heals everything! .... in other words it sounds cheezy and corny and otherwise just sort of "eww" to me
I can never tell if they mean to say:
Mega Bands: The King with the Mostest, The MOST Bands per inch of Snake or Your Money Back!
or
Mega Bands: The King With the Mostest, The BIGGEST Bands on Earth, Why Sez Bigger Ain't Better?
or even
Mega Bands: The King With the Mostest, Red Bands, Yellow Bands, White Bands, Brown Bands, Purple Bands, and More! You want a color we don't have, we'll special order it for you!
