Hot Weather Shipping

vegasbilly Jul 06, 2004 06:25 PM

I'm trying to figure out how to facilitate shipping a Chondro from San Antonio. I saw a reference to "cold packs". Is there a safe way to ship at this time of the year? The destination is Los Angeles which doesn't get too hot. Should I just wait until the temps in texas cool down?

Thanks in advance, Bill

Can the person you are buying the chondro from ship via air freight? (delta dash or usair) LAX has direct routes to many locations so you may be able to get a direct flight. I don't like the thought of shipping my chondros any other way. Have had about 15 shipped to me via air and have not had a problem yet.

Heat will definitely kill chondros (all snakes actually) a lot faster than cold will, however I wouldn't really want my chondros in an icebox either.

Is this a neonate or adult you're shipping? Adults are going to take a bit more "shipping stress" than neos too. And... last ditch, it's only 1355 miles between LA and San Antonio, that's less than a 24 hour drive to me!! LOL, I'd go get it
