dumeril's retained eye caps

pezpunk Jul 06, 2004 09:09 PM

i think my dumeril's has retained eye caps but i'm not sure. the outside portion of the eye looks like it has some retained skin but the eye looks ok, is it possible to shed the eye cap but retain part of the outside? i'm not sure what to do, i've put her in a pillow case with a wet towel over night any advice?

A small dab of neosporin rubbed gently on the eye is usually enough to get them off. Harmless to your snake...

it can blind them. I've used Vitimin E capsules with success on Ball Pythons.
Good Luck-
