repti-sun 10.0

chacoantegu Jul 06, 2004 11:16 PM

does anyone know about this bulb and how it compares to the repti-sun 5.0 Its a compact flourescent so you don't have to deal with paying for regular flourescent fixture and may be a suitable basking bulb for a montane species. It costs only $25 on at lllreptile and is supposed to emit twice as much uvb. What have you guys heard about this bulb? is it too good to be true?

I am currently using one right now for my free-range ficus. Havent used it long enough to really detect its pros and cons yet, but so far, it seems to be working out pretty good. It could be my imagination, but my chameleon seems, or at least looks, a little more healthy.
