another hibernating question

hi im wanting to start breeding snakes this winter.my dad used to own a restaurant that had a pepsi cooler in it.it is a standard one like you see in walmart by the checkout lines.can i use this to hibernate my snakes.it is in the garage right now but i will move it in the house when the time comes.if it is not suitable it stheir anyway to make it suitable.also it is a door with a handle not sliding if htat makes a difference.thanks for your time.

plug it in and put a max/min thermometer in it and let it run for a few days. I would turn the thermostat up as high (warm) as it gets and see if it can maintain a temperature in the mid 50s without any huge drops/spikes.

You would also have the ventilation issues we have discussed below, but you could just fan the door daily for a few seconds.
