Should a sleeping hide be placed on the warmer or cooler side of a leopard habitat or somewhere in between? How about the humid hide?
I'm thinking the hide should probably be near the center of the gradient, and the humid hide should be on the warmer side to encourage evaporation and greater humidity. Is that reasonable?
Do folks leave the humid hide in the habitat at all times or only introduce it when a leopard is showing signs that its about to shed?
I've checked both my leopard gecko books and couldn't find a good answer. One post on page 6 of this forum suggested multiple hides if spoiling the lizard is desired, however I'm hoping not to go too overboard on accessories. Optimal hide placement is what I'm curious of. Any ideas?
