My desktop locked up when I tried to access that link and I had to cold-boot and rebuild my desktop to restore my system.

I have 1.5gb of memory, run Eplorer 5+ and have a cable-modem connection.

I'm confused...which link are you talking about that crashed your system? The one link is the java room access to the kingsnake chat room (if you don't have IRC) and the other one goes to the pethobbyist.com webpage that outlines the chat schedules for all of the sites. I had no problem accessing either of those links just now.
