The antibiotic your vet gave you will help fight infections including respiratory, but this cham sounds very seriously ill. Feeding it beetles may have caused some damage to the intestine due to the hard shells or exoskeletons. They are hard to digest. If you can, try feeding it moths, beetle larvae that are softer, and other types of soft insects such as caterpillars or grubs. The bleeding from the mouth sounds very serious, and the heavy breathing may be a sign that the chameleon is close to death. If this chameleon is kept indoors it is also suffering from lack of proper lighting. You will need a UV light or be able to let her bask outdoors in unfiltered sunlight every day. Remember, terrarium or window glass blocks UV rays, so she must be outdoors in a screen cage or you must get a UV light. Good luck!

anatolia,

If it is in a large terrarium the humidity build up may be too much, therefore bacteria growing. As Carlton said, a screen cage is best. Also, you said you were feeding it ground up meat? Chameleons are insectivores for the most part and what you are feeding him may not be digested properly, liver and kidney damage could occur as well. If it is raw meat there are other possible problems. You said you have had it 2 months - where did you get it and was it healthy at the time? Do you live in Turkey? Do you have pet stores that sell crickets or other live insects as feeders for other animals?
