Carrying on Board?

herperboy Jul 07, 2004 01:10 PM

Does anyone know if it is okay to carry small box turtles on board an airplane. The reason i ask is that i am leaving for vacation soon and i cant find anyone to take care of her.

You would really need to contact the airline about that...I think different airlines have different rules about pets in the passenger cabin. Considerations would be whether or not the pet carrier can be stowed under your seat, that most airlines restrict passengers to one piece of carry-on luggage, etc.

I once sat next to a woman who had her dog in a carry on, and kept it under the seat. (The dog was wearing a diaper!) I would think a turtle would be easier than a dog to take on a plane!

Good luck!
