An Eastern King Question.

mred Jul 07, 2004 02:42 PM

One of my brothers and I agree on what we like in an Eastern -
a big, jet black (almost blue) animal with clean, distinct white markings. Similar to the one on the Eastern webpage. Anyone with more experience know what locality this would be and someone who breeds this locality? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Which one on the Eastern King webpage ? Thick or thin bands ? All the pics on there are broken down by locality if you are referring the Eastern King Resource Site and not something else. Let me know what King caught your eye and maybe I can help you find a breeder who will have babies that are similar.

The NJ locals look good, large dark animals with thin crisp white bands. What an Eastern should look like - in my opinion anyway. I'm not so keen on the orange / yellow highlighted animals. Picky aren't I?

Any idea who may be breeding and if they will be at any of the shows this year?
Thanks for your help.

You might want to try some NC locales as they are more readily available. NC's have nice thin white crossbars and some locales have a black ground color. Also Peter Jolles on her hatched out some MD locale animals that look nice try him.
