Just wondering if anyone can help me on this problem:
I'm trying to purchase SAIMR POLYVALENT antivenin from SA Vaccine Producers. Everything was going just fine. I completed Form 1571 along with a letter of summary, also completed Form VS-16-3(Import Permit). Made contact with SAVP, they were very helpful sending me the Pro-Forma invoice along with 2 original A/V package inserts.
The problem I'm having is trying to get a physician to sign off on Form 1572. I went to two diferent doctors and they both seem turned off when they have to submit there curriculum vitae.
I'm wondering do I have to get a doctor from my area to sign Form 1572, or can I get someone from another state? Does anyone knows a doctor from the Missouri area that might be interested? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm having the same problem. I would say stay in the same state with your physician, more than likely, the one who sponsors you will also be the one treating you. It's a pain, many don't want the responsiblity, keep trying, you'll find someone.
Glad to hear your going through all the paperwork to get the AV. You'll get it, just for all of your persistence.

Every single email I have sent to the various addrsses for SAIMR have been returned undeliverable.

Yeah, you'll have little difficulty with FDA once you send the paperwork....that's the easy part.

Wish I could help you with the physician, but it may be tough. My personal physician had no qualms or hesitation whatsoever(maybe I was just lucky). I'd start with your personal physician. If you don't have one that has treated you over the years and knows you, trying to find a random doctor to sign off as the principal investigator may be tough.

Any chance you can find a physician who is also into hots? Anyone in the St. Louis area? How close are you to St Louis?

I live 20 miles from St Louis!
