In a recent conversation with one of my friends (involved in chameleon breeding) the subject of market value came up, and we got into a discussion about what different values the locales had in comparison to eachother. Say for example, you had 2 chameleons, both male, same quality (top of the line), same age (3 months, for example) and of 2 different locales, which would fetch a higher market value, or which would be higher in demand. Assume the two were offered free and you could choose 1. For the sake of debate, we were discussing Sambavas versus Ambanjas. So, for this survey, if someone was offering everyone either a top of the line Ambanja or a top of the line Sambava and you could take one, which would it be? I don't want answers about "personal preference" or "depends what I needed at the time." Just pick one, and leave an explanation why if you want to. I'm interested in seeing what everyone thinks. although i would love to see more tamataves available, i would go with ambanja's. they seem to have a lot more color variation, and mine is friendly as can be.....

i don't care much about their colors it's rather the animal, its behaviour and character that interest me.

i would rather have a sambava, there is alot of top of the line ambanjas around, but the only sambava breeders i really like is/was Valentino (kammer) and Loki(BBR) im dieing to get ahold of a male from the Loki/Mabel Line. knoxville is badass too.

Ok, thanks for everyone who answered. I'm convinced this thread was rigged LOL! I was defending the Sambava side of it, apparently I was wrong in most people's opinons. Oh well. To mister_pokey, the Sambavas from Knoxville/Lola are just now hatching, and Lola is Loki's sister, so that combination should be nice to see together. As of now, I have 3 totally hatched out, about 9 noses poking out of the eggs and another roughly 15 either sweating or doing nothing yet. The Loki/Mabel group should be hatching in about 1 to 2 months. I think they're just over 7 months old now. Thanks again to everyone who answered. Apparently I'll have to admit defeat on the Sambava/Ambanja issue.
