My response:

Amy,
Due to all the problems with counterfeit cashiers checks lately (not that you would do this), I must hold them all 2 weeks, subject to clearing, and they must be for the amount of the animals and/or shipping; I am not a bank and cannot cash checks over the amount. If there are no problems after the 2 week time period, I can arrange to ship the pythons to you. Sorry about the waiting period, but we in the industry have been hit painfully hard and are forced to treat the checks like any other check.
If this is still something you are interested in, please get back to me.
