Is wallpaper safe for beardies?

dragonlovers Jul 07, 2004 08:54 PM

Hi, we are accenting our cage with a stone looking wallpaper. We were wanting to cover our home-made hide caves with the same paper. Do you think this would be ok? We would appreciate replies on this. Thanks a lot.

Believe it or not they make wallpaper / backgrounds for cages. Now I do not know how they apply them, but if you used a non toxic glue or some tacky putty you should be ok. The only reason I see for not doing it is if the dragon decide to try and climb that rock wall It will shred your wallpaper to ribbons and that could cause a problem if ingested.

Go to the link below to see some wall paper that Cages by Design have. Also you could call them and ask how the wallpaper is applied, they have an EXTREMLY helpful staff on hand to answer questions.

I think if you glued it on and then sealed over it with a few clear layers of polyeurethane or soemthing and let it cure for a few weeks it would work well and the dragons wouldn't shred it with their claws.
